APML Support for WordPress

Update: The newest Version of “APML for WordPress” can be found here: http://notizblog.org/projects/apml-for-wordpress/.

I wrote a small APML Plugin/Extension for WordPress, as I mentioned some posts before. The Script creates an APML feed using the WordPress Categories and Tags.

If you want a preview of the Plugin, visit my APML file: http://notizblog.org/wp-apml.php

How to install it (it only works for WordPress 2.3.x):

  • download the file
  • place it in the root of your WordPress installation

If you have any suggestions, please leave me a note.

    I have problems activating the plugin. I get an error:

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘./wp-config.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear:/var/www/virtual/notsorelevant.com/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/UltimateTagWarrior’) in /var/www/virtual/notsorelevant.com/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/wp-apml.php on line 12

    Ultimate Tag Warrior?

    First of all, you have to put the file in the WordPress root directory. The other thing is, I only tested it with the native WordPress tagging system. Do you use WordPress > 2.3.1 with UTW?

    This is very cool Matthias - you should post about it on the APML Google Group to let them know!

    I will also blog about it when I get the chance.

    Hi there, sorry for being al little slow, but what does your APML-Plugin track and who gets to see that? Thx, Christian

    @Christian Fenner: It tracks nothing, it only generates an APML XML file using the wordpress tags and categories.

    I’ll try it. You should add this to Wordpress.org and other plugin repositories, as well as, download sites like hotscripts.com

    If I knew more about it, I would publicize APML more.
